Each year, ICF presents the Intelligent Community Award Program® for cities and regions.  It provides communities with a platform for attracting international attention, stimulating inward investment and building public support for progress.

Awards process

ICF devotes 11 months to soliciting nominations, evaluating them and selecting each year’s honorees, from the Smart21 semi-finalists to the Top7 finalists to the Intelligent Community of the Year. More about the process →

Award winners

ICF has honored communities of all sizes on every continent as Intelligent Communities. Award winners include each year’s Smart21 Communities of the Year (semi-finalists in the Awards program), Top7 Intelligent Communities of the Year (finalists in the Awards program) and Intelligent Communities of the Year (winners of each year’s Awards program).
